Case Studies

As we develop websites and intranets for our clients, we often help solve business problems and create new business opportunities. Below is a selection of case studies that deal with some of the more complex projects that we have worked on.

Balneaire Seaside Resort

Balneaire Seaside Resort offers self contained luxury apartments for holiday and business accommodation near Middleton Beach in Albany, Western Australia. Spin Technologies developed a web based bookings intranet that allows Balneaire to manage the bookings for the Resort. Due to the web based nature of the system, all computers on the network have access to the bookings system. The system also offers complex reporting, saving time and money in generating government reports.

Second Skin

Second Skin manufactures surgical splints and medical burn skins for hospitals and patients all around the world. They operate clinics in the UK and throughout Australia. Due to the dispersed nature of the business, they needed a secure intranet to manage their business.

Easyrider Tours

Easyrider Tours is a backpacker bus service that operates tours that cover all of Western Australia and into the Northern Territory. They have offices in Perth and Broome. As a result, any computerised booking system would need to be able to be used in multiple locations, as well as be accessible by travel agents and hostels. Spin Technologies used the Microsoft DotNet Framework, along with Web Services to create a solution that met these needs exactly.

The Moorings

The Moorings is a luxury property development on the shore of the Swan River in North Fremantle, Western Australia. Any website needed to reflect the superior nature of the apartments, and to also give a feel for the magnificent location. The Lester Group, the property developers, contracted Spin to create the website for the first stage, and since then the second stage and third stage have also been added to the site. Several apartments have been sold to overseas investors, whose only exposure to the project came through the website.
